We're thrilled to announce our newest course series: Focus on Education!

Each course in the Focus on Education Series will be available for 15 clock hours (PD) or 1 credit hour (graduate credit). Learn from the materials, the instructor, and from your classmates! Courses are self-paced, include four milestones, and can be completed in 8 weeks or less.

Specialized Courses to Advance & Enhance Your Teaching Career

All courses on this website may be taken as a noncredit option for professional development. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will receive a certificate of completion documenting up to 45 clock hours. Certificates granted for TCL courses may be used for salary advancement or be applied toward professional development requirements where The Connecting Link or an approving school district is an approved provider by your state's educational governance. Participants should always check with their district and/or state for approval prior to enrolling to determine how course hours may be applied.*

Course Clock Hour Option

  • Are developed in accordance with multiple sets of national standards.
  • Are designed to address current issues such as differentiation and technology integration.
  • Offer personalized feedback and support from highly qualified instructors.

Site-Based Courses

  • Offer face-to-face instruction at convenient times and locations in partner-specific states.
  • Are scheduled Monday through Friday in the summer or evenings and weekends throughout the year.

Online Structured Courses

  • Are compatible with desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
  • Provide 24/7 access to course platform and materials.
  • Are scheduled with specific start and end dates.
  • Have no synchronized meeting times, but discussion and assignments are due weekly.

Accelerated Online Courses - Structured

  • Are offered online over a set 4-week period.
  • Require completion of two milestones per week; equivalent to 10-12 hours of coursework.

Traditional Online Courses - Structured

  • Are offered online over a set 8-week period.
  • Require completion of one milestone per week; equivalent to 6-8 hours of coursework.

Online Self-Paced Courses

  • Are compatible with desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
  • Provide 24/7 access to course platform and materials.
  • Are available to start when you are ready.
  • Have no synchronized meeting times.
  • Can be completed at your own pace in 8 or 12 weeks (or less).

Online Concentration Courses - Self-Paced

May be completed in 12 weeks or less and focus on content directly related to:

  • Early Childhood Education
  • Educational Leadership
  • Professional Online Teaching

Online Fast-Track Courses - Self-Paced

May be completed in 8 weeks or less and feature:

  • Footage educational experts and real classrooms
  • 4-15 clock hours of professional development
