A request for an academic transcript may be made in person, by mail, by fax, or by e-mail with the appropriate transcript request form. They must have a signature to release information from your academic record; therefore, they are prohibited from accepting information via telephone.
Benedictine University complies with all federal regulations regarding the release of student education records as established by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). An academic transcript is a complete record of a student's academic achievement at Benedictine University.
There are two types of academic transcripts: official and unofficial. An official transcript is printed on transcript paper and affixed with the university seal and stamped with the Registrar's signature stamp. An unofficial transcript is printed on plain white paper with "Unofficial Transcript" written at the top. Unofficial transcripts can also be sent via e-mail, whereas the official transcripts cannot.
