At The Connecting Link, we value our teachers and recognize their dedication, enthusiasm, and knowledge to the field of education. One of our amazing teachers is Priscilla Dryer!
Priscilla has been teaching for over 15 years. She has her Master's degree in Reading and Literacy and is always looking for opportunities to learn more. Priscilla believes we are all truly lifelong learners. Priscilla currently serves as Regional Director of the Illinois Reading Council (IRC) for Iroquois, Kankakee, Will, and South Cook Counties, as well as member of the IRC Professional Development Cadre. In 2014, she was elected the next Vice President of the IRC and will be heading the conference in 2017.
Priscilla devotes her time now to teaching teachers via the IRC's Professional Development Cadre, the South Cook Intermediate Service Center, Benedictine University, and The Connecting Link. She also presents on topics such as guided reading, the Daily Five, getting parents and the community involved in education, integrating science and social studies into language arts, and how to use data to help students set their own learning goals.
