Dr. Heidi Scott, PhD

Superintendent

 

Dr. Heidi Scott brings a wealth of experience from success in both education and corporate endeavors. She began her career as a classroom, middle school teacher – yes, still her favorite K through 12 students! Her work as a principal in the public K-12 setting, as well as the Chief Learning Officer of a multi-state, national company, and Senior Learning Strategist in corporate America all combine and aid her in providing strategic guidance as the Superintendent of The Connecting Link. Heidi’s PhD in Leadership from Gonzaga University equips her in growing TCL in continued quality.
Dr. Scott loves the outdoors and living on a North Idaho lake where she and her family spend time paddle boarding, skiing, snow shoeing in the winter, and hiking and running.

Sharon Wysoglad

Director of Academic Affairs

 
Sharon Wysoglad has been working to support the mission of TCL since 2003. As Director of Academic Affairs, her role involves coordinating curriculum development, course administration, instructor selection and support. She also leads partnership development with business and university connections across the country. Prior to The Connecting Link, Sharon worked within the education field as both a teacher and administrator across the K-12 and university settings.
Faith, family and friends are at the core of all that matters to Sharon. With two boys that are growing up way too fast, she strives to embrace the moments. Any time outside of the office is spent balancing  solitude with a good book and saying yes to all adventures.

Karmell Clark

Executive Sales Director

 

In Karmell's previous life, she was the Life Coach to psychologists preparing for their National License Exam. Currently, she focuses on helping educators meet their education advancement and re-certification needs. She is described as a cheerleader, drill instructor, and friend, who would love to discuss how she can help you supplement your income by becoming a TCL instructor.
In Karmell's free time, she plays taxi driver to her 6'5", 14 year old basketball playing son from one game to another, or putting hundreds miles on her road bike throughout the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.

Tara Whittaker

Digital Marketing Manager

 

Tara is passionate about crafting visually impactful work, that works! Fueled by ideas, opportunity and coffee, Tara attacks the marketing landscape every day with a purpose. She brings a big picture, strategic perspective AND has the knowledge, skills and understanding of on-the-ground realities to guide big thinking into successful tactics and deliverables that achieve results.
When Tara isn't marketing the awesomeness of everything TCL, she is most likely skiing, watching sports or wishing she was Superwoman.

Melissa Ramirez

Registrar

 

With Melissa’s history in student support for an online university, she was able to jump right into her role at The Connecting Link back in 2008. As Registrar, Melissa’s role is to support students and university partners by processing registrations and grades while also performing other administrative tasks.
In Melissa’s spare time, she enjoys watching her children go from the basketball court, to the softball field, and last but not least, the karate studio.

Pam Burns

Online Academic Coordinator

 

Pam’s role involves working directly with instructors and coordinating course schedules and online content. She has been in this position since 2002 and also works with curriculum writers on new course development and revisions, and trains instructors to teach courses in our online environment. Her goal is to make every online course a rewarding experience for instructor and student. In her spare time, Pam enjoys being outdoors hiking or walking. She enjoys gardening…well, planting flowers, but not weeding!
