Joanne received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Fitchburg University and her masters in Education from Lesley University. She has been teaching in Massachusetts for 16 years, both in the inner city and suburbs.  Currently, she serves as the department head and is a trained mentor to new teachers in her district.Joanne has years of experience as a facilitator for online classes at a local university and is excited to now be working with TCL community. After taking many TCL classes over the years she is looking forward to working with fellow teachers as a TCL instructor. When not a school she enjoys gardening at the community garden, yoga, running, biking and just being active outside. Joanne has two children, her son lives and works in Boston and her daughter is pursuing a nursing degree. She recently celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary in Bermuda.
